WINE FLIGHT INFORMATION
Knightor Chardonnay, Cornwall (starter)
A beautifully restrained and elegant expression of Chardonnay. The nose displays an array of delicate citrus characters, melon and floral notes with a suggestion of candied peel. The palate is soft and well rounded. Initially it’s predominantly ripe apple and citrus fruit, but as this lingers more creamy toasty flavours follow.
Tbilvino Saperavi (main course)
Saperavi is Georgia’s most widely planted red wine grape, the grapes that make it are all hand-selected. It has a deep ruby red colour, good depth and complexity. There are hints of coffee, cinnamon and vanilla overlaying black fruit, particularly blackberry. On the palate, it displays typical Saperavi notes of cassis and a hint of liquorice, along with good acidity and slightly more tannin grip than other Saperavis.
Chateau Ramon Monbazillac (pudding)
Monbazillac is an appellation for sweet wines in the wider region of Bergerac, in south western France. The small, family vineyard lies on the southern bank of the Dordogne river.
The wine is made using grapes shrivelled by `noble rot` which are picked and sorted by hand. It has a golden yellow colour with aromas of ripe apricots and candied orange, and is smooth and rounded in the mouth with perfect balance.
Limoncello
A lemon scented liqueur famously from the Amalfi coast. Fresh and fragrant, it is made by macerating lemon peels in alcohol. Served worldwide after meals as a “digestive,”
