Maria Rose AROI is part of the UK’s growing plein air movement, with a contemporary take on the great British landscape painting tradition. Working predominantly in oils, Maria works mostly outside in the elements, letting nature and the seasons guide her, attempting to capture the essence of a place or moment in time. Maria understands the quiet beauty of the English landscape and celebrates the subtle shifts in light through our unique and ever-changing seasons. Maria was elected an Associate Member of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters (AROI) in 2022. She lives in Witheridge, South Molton.
