Scotland, Western Isles III: Edition of 10

£400.00£450.00

‘This vibrant seascape is full of movement and colour and you can almost hear the swish of the waves and feel the soft white sand between your toes. The orange lichen on the rocks in the foreground leads you into the picture and then the indigo hills draw you across the sands and the incoming sea so you feel a part of the scene.

I have always loved visiting George Irvine’s exhibitions.  His strong brush strokes and generous use of paint produce a picture full of movement and colour.  Then I discovered that I could buy prints of some of his paintings and was so excited to discover one painted on the Isle of Pabbay in the Western Isles of Scotland which I knew and loved.  I ordered it as a treat to myself.  It arrived in perfect condition and very nicely framed and ready to hang on the wall.  A place was immediately found for it in my bedroom where I can wake to the view of a soft sandy bay and an emerald and mauve sea.  Its a great way to wake on a dull morning!  Now all I want is another!’ Review by Susie Watson.
