The Gaucho Derby, known as the world’s toughest horse race, takes place in the wind-swept and isolating landscape of Argentinian Patagonia. A self navigated & self supported 750km journey of survival by horse & on foot, across what must be one of the world’s most brutal terrains.
Earlier this year, Fiona was one of only 29 riders to complete this intense mental & physical experience, which she puts down to innate stubbornness and the incredibly tough Criollo horses with which she shared her journey.
Fiona is fundraising for Alzheimer’s Research UK. Please click here to see her ‘justgiving’ page.
