OVERVIEW
When Rose Cameron set out to create a multi-day riding experience across Exmoor, her vision was to offer something more than a route — an immersive journey that captured the landscape’s raw beauty whilst allowing guests to feel freedom, friendship and adventure.
My role extended beyond route planning and logistics into on-the-ground production — coordinating staff, managing timings, and ensuring every element of the experience, from lunch in a hidden valley to a swim in a secret wild swimming spot, ran seamlessly.
Outcome
The result was a fully realised experience: a three-day journey through Exmoor that felt both adventurous and effortless. Riders rode through the landscape supported by quiet precision — each element, from route to swim to meal, unfolding naturally thanks to careful preparation and responsive teamwork.
The project has since become the flagship offering for Rose Cameron Rides: an experience known for its attention to detail, warmth, and sense of place.
Reflection
Working on The Exmoor Ride was about orchestrating simplicity — creating structure that supports spontaneity. My role was to hold the rhythm behind the scenes so that the riders could be fully present in the landscape.
It was a lesson in balance: between planning and adaptability, between the human and the wild. And it reinforced what I believe about good production — that when it’s done well, it disappears, leaving only the experience itself.
